Geo restrictions

This page describes the restrictions that apply to Hit Engine’s prize draws. We are not yet running one — it is published in advance so the rules are settled before entries open. Once a round is live, it uses two entry routes, and they are restricted differently.

A demonstration round is published at /raffle. It is a fixture: no prize, no entrants, and the entry list is synthetic. It exists so the draw verifier can be checked against real cryptography before a real round opens, and it is labelled as such wherever it appears.

The bet route

Entering with a bet requires a bet placed on Stake.com. Stake carries out its own age, identity, and jurisdiction checks before it lets anyone place a bet. A qualifying bet cannot exist unless Stake already permitted that player to bet from their jurisdiction, so the bet route’s territorial restrictions are inherited from Stake’s own checks. We do not maintain a separate blocked-country list for this route, and we do not repeat a check Stake has already made.

The postal route

The Free entry route is not gated by a bet, so none of Stake’s checks apply to it. It carries its own restrictions instead:

• You must be 18 or over.
• You must not be resident in a territory where receiving a prize of this kind is unlawful.

These restrictions are applied when we process a postal entry, not before you send it. An entry from an excluded territory is void under the Raffle rules.
